Alton was the amateur greenhouse pioneer in Britain with a pedigree stretching back to 1921. Today, as they have always done, their greenhouses are constructed from rot-resistant Western Red Cedar Wood - a compliment to any garden setting. Alton Greenhouses are much stronger than most aluminium models, give better heat retention and are far more resistant to wind damage.

All Alton greenhouses are now supplied with 4mm Toughened Safety Glass as standard.

Alton Greenhouses are delivered direct. All prices include VAT and delivery throughout mainland England, Scotland and Wales except postcode areas AB, DD, IV, KW, PH and TR where the delivery charge is £50 per building.  An installation service is also offered for mainland UK addresses (see below).

• Brown Concrete Base Kerbs - Complimenting the greenhouse colour and invaluable in helping to anchor the greenhouse to the ground and prevent cedar being saturated with moisture.
• Partly Boarded Door - The base of the the sliding door is now vertically boarded cedar, providing good looks, extra strength and helping prevent breakages.
• New Pelmet Design - Alton's attention to detail is shown in the improe pelmet design that features above sliding doors.
• Brown Powder Coated Metal Work - Co-ordinating with the base kerbs and the cedar to give an improved and more attractive finish.
• Hanging Basket Hooks - Eaves and ridge braces feature useful hooks, ideal for preparing your baskets and for tying string or adding canes to, when growing tomatoes.
• Steel Bracing - Durable and strong, discrete brown powder-coated steel bracing has been used throughout.
• Convenient Door Locking - New models include a more comfortable handle and a higher locking point, avoiding the need to bend down when opening or locking the greenhouse.
• Slatted Staging and Shelving - The slatted design ensures good ventilation, promoting stronger plants and preventing disease.
• Stronger Slats - Thicker and stronger laminated finger-jointed hardwood shelving and staging slats that will stand the test of time.
• Steel Cantilever Bracing - The strong and clever bracing reduces the need for obtrusive staging legs and high level shelving straps, giving you more room to grow.
• Improved Service - A managed installation service, saving you time and money, Alton's new and affordable installation service ensures you will be ready to grow sooner, rather than later.  All you have  provide is a concrete or slab base and flashings and sealant in the case of lean-to models.
